What equipment is required for IP Voice?
IP Voice can be delivered via advanced IP Phones and Analog Terminal Adapters (ATA’s) at your place of business. These devices are interconnected into your high-speed data connection (DSL/Broadband) via either an existing or new data network. Phone service is delivered through the existing phone wiring within the building.
How can my business benefit from using IP Voice service?
There are multiple advantages to using IP Voice service for your business, including:
Cost Savings
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) treats your phone conversations as data passing through the Internet, so you don’t pay for long-distance calls. And traditional business-phone features such as voicemail, caller ID, conferencing, and call forwarding are all included in one monthly fee.
Increased Productivity
IP Voice service allows users to speak over the phone while accessing other applications such as e-mail and remote conferencing over the Internet. Users can attach documents, conduct virtual meetings, and share data via video conferencing.
Less Equipment
Businesses that use VoIP don’t need to run extra wiring for each new phone line. Instead, as employees come and go, you simply reassign or return the IP Phone. Digital voice signals are transmitted via software instead of hardware, keeping set up simple and equipment at a minimum. Finally, fewer wires that can get tangled means reduced fire hazards in your building.
